Thanks guys. Bill, I'll give Steiner's a look. Kevin, my local dealer is a jerk. They charge freight on orders that come in on their regular deliveries so I try not to deal with them. I've never heard of Pilot Knob but I'll look them up. Thanks again. Dan

I got the nuts for my 300b from McMaster Carr, they are called panel nuts. The screws are a hardware item called truss head screw.

do more research on the web, you can get them much cheaper from places that sell parts for computers-----look up "cage nuts" in the search bar. I bought bags of 25 for less than you pay for 5 anywhere else. You need to read closely you"ll find metric and SAE nuts and screws of different sizes. I forget what size thread you need but it shouldn"t be too hard to figure out.
Be aware that not all the cage nuts are the same on those tractors the threads are the same but the cage nut part that clips on the sheet metal is different depending on what it clips to. Look closely at the thickness of the sheet metal and the size of the clip part of the cage of the nut.

Go to Pilot Knob. He has the all the screws and nuts at the best rate. I did lots of research on them this winter when I painted my 300. He also has a plastic washer to use instead of the star one so the paint does not chip.

Pilot Knob Restorations is in Galena, Illinois. Contact Ron at 815 seven, seven, seven 0826 and you will find they have a lot of IH restoration items. Ron will know what you need and I believe they are called flange head bolts or screws by Fastenal and those plastic/fiber washers noted in an earlier post work great with them to save your paint. I'm sure he will be at the RPRU which is this week in Huron, SD, HTH, Hal.
