IH C lift box leaking

About 5 years ago I replaced the o-rings in hdy lift box on my 1950 IH C. I honed the inside the best I could, but noticed small pits, small holes in cylinder.

Well I need to take it apart again and do something to fill in the pits, then replace the o-rings again.

What's the best way to fill in pits?

My local farmall collector who WILL sell parts offered me a complete unit for under $100. May be better to just buy a different Touch Control unit than try to repair pits in the block.
