I mow with a Farmall b. The other day I was in some pretty heavy wet grass so she was working pretty hard. After about an hr would misfire and die. Let it cool down for an hr and all is well again for another hr. Went that way all day. Bad coil?

It could be a bad coil, they have been known to breakdown at high temps. HOWEVER a condenser is much cheaper and they can also be more prone to failure when warm so you may try that first. Also check the points for excess carbon build and pitting and burning as that may be a cause.

Try easy cheaper things first like check connections, check switch (maybe try to hot wire it), try another condenser. A good old school mechanic may well have a high voltage coil tester

Does the coil have that classic burned electrical smell??? Any nasty black oil oozing out of coil??

Check to see if you still have a good spark when the engine dies. If you still have a good spark you may be vaporizing the fuel in the line running from the tank to the carburetor. Look for bubbles in the sediment bowl.
