Tractor stalls every five or ten minutes

Tell us a little more. How do you get it started again? Just turn it back on? Wait until it cools off? If the latter, I would first suspect the coil--they can be good when cool and die when hot.

I have also heard of weird fuel issues causing this, float, something floating in gas tank, etc. First thing is to rule out spark, so pull a plug wire as soon as it dies and crank while holding the tip close to a ground.

1954 what model??
May be a coil or condenser problem.
Does the problem go away if the gas cap is removed?

Coil failure is rare, fuel starvation is common.

I replaced coil it was'nt it
I'll drain the fuel tank and replace with new fuel
I'll take the carbureator apart and clean it

Thanks for. Your help it was a fuel problem
The inlet valve was hanging up
I cleaned the carbureator and now it is working fine
