I need help locating a tachometer for a Farmall 300. The serial number for the tractor is 23480SJ. Where do you all recommend I get one. Thank you for any and all help

Bates Corporation Bourbon,IN. has them listed for the 300. I hope your setting down because they are $325.00 for one.

Google "Farmall 300 tachometer" gives you results for hundreds of places to buy from, with prices anywhere from around $60 for the cheap reproduction on Amazon or Ebay, to a quality original for $325 from Bates Corp.

Where or who makes it? Is it the same ones that are made in India and put in a Bates box?

I have one the $60 ones on my 350 - seems to work ok - but my tractor never sits outside.

Their on line site only says new. I got one from them 4 years ago for my 450 and I think that one was from India ($130.00). At that time I think they knew of a place that would rebuild yours but not cheap.

I bought one from India over a year ago for I think $40 and so far it has worked great. I did a google search to find it.
