Well,I was cleaning MORE out of the barn today and found this pulley. It SEEMS to be Farmall red.Its 9 1/2" Diameter, is 7/8" wide at the top of the "V" in the pulley groove.Looks to have a casting # 585450R1

We have owned this place for 40+ years now and only had a Ford 600 here the whole time. If this IS an IH part,I have been finding other parts( M/H front wheel bearing cap,and some other stuff) in the barn. Some one BEFORE us must of had a Farmall???

Besides My Super M ,But I KNOW the parts I have bought for it!(Finding MORE stuff in the barn I have NEVER seen in my life time! lol

The 3-bolt flange likely is to attach another pulley or sprocket and typical of a part that would have been used on a combine feeder house or table.

I have one similar hanging on the wall that came off a IH model78 pull type combine that we dismantled.

I believe it was off the end of the cylinder and had another pulley bolted to it to drive the something else.

So that would be my guess.

THIS IS A UNIVERSAL PULLEY USED IN MANY APPLICATIONS. THE PULLEY COMES THIS WAY WHEN YOU PURCHASE. THERE IS A SPLINED LOCKING RING THAT SCREWS IN THE THREE HOLES AND HOLDS AND LOCKS ON TO THE SHAFT. YOU CAN STILL PURCHASE THIS ITEM LOCALLY AT FARM STORE.

NO locking ring insert for that factory part-numbered pulley.

You can plainly see the single keyway cut into the bore.

Master parts index shows that 585460R1=Cylinder beater drive pulley for 82 combines. Probably the same application for the 80 as well, but I don't have a book or fiche card to double check where it is used on the machine, and I don't think the 80 book is online. Could very well fit other (older?) combines and/or other equipment as I've found several incorrect and incomplete applications listed, but the card does show that it was used on 80 and 82 combines, and it's in my paper 82 book.

Should be ref. # 24 in this picture from the 82 book if the link works:
