I'm getting close to firing up my F-20, and need to fill up its fluids. From what I've been able to find online, 30W oil has been suggested for the engine, and 85W-140 for the transmission and final drives. Do these sound right? The tractor won't be seeing any cold-weather operation, and I'm not planning on working it hard, although lately I've been thinking it might pull a plow on rare occasions.

30w should be good for the engine. I used straight 140 in the transmission on my F-20. You are sure to find what seals are leaking with 85-140.

that's what I use , straight 140wt for the rear end and trans would be better if available locally , 160 was factory fill I think, the 85w140 will leak more , but not nearly as bad as 80w90 will. But no matter what you put in an F-series they will mark their territory. Yes plow with it , they love to pull a plow !

Straight 140 for trans. . The lucas additive is a good idea. 30 for engine. Make sure all oil lines are clog free.
