I got this tractor about a month ago and it had set on a dealers lot for over 3 years. The t/a switch was bad when I got it so I replaced it and am have a strange problem. If you go from hi side to low side normally without clutching the low side seems to slip, BUT if you take off in the low side it holds great and will stall the engine if you stand on the brakes. I wouldn't thinknow the sprag would be bad since it does hold if you take off in low. Maybe misadusted? Any ideas?

Aren't the newer TAs hydraulically shifted? Maybe there is a hydraulic valve problem just from sitting a long time.

That is not an unusual problem. The sprag is just about to give up completely. It is still catching when load is applied from a static condition but if the sprag is already moving it does not catch in the gear.
