UNPLUG COIL WIRE FROM DIST. CAP. Don't want it to fire while you do this.

Timing mark on pulley should line up just as #1 Cyl is at top of compression stroke. (remove spark plug and put your thumb over the hole to find compression stroke).

Loosen bolts holding mag, and turn the top of it toward block.

Turn engine with crank until timing mark is again at TDC. Rotate mag away from engine block until impulse coupling clicks, then tighten the bolts in that spot.

If and when you are at a show, tractor ride or parade............. if ANYONE is watching you crank it over it absolutely will not start, no matter how much cranking you do.
It will flood, cough, sputter & back fire till the cows come home, but wil not start !!
Just as soon as it gets dark, or everyone walks away and you are all alone, it will start on the first quarter turn & purr like a kitten..........
