super c governor

I remember reading a post about putting a 200 governor spring
in a super c and gaining more rpms. I havent had one of these
governors apart, is it hard or time consuming to do? Also, my
manual shows two different springs in the governor assembly,
which one is it?

Dont need to change govenor just change spring have you backed the cap screw off its on top of the gov. How many rpms do you want to gain. That engine in the 240 ran 2100

If you haven't done any improvements in the engine you may not want many more rpm.

Need to put a 504 spring in it. I have mine set at 1950 rpm.

I have not backed the screw out yet, i thought it was pretty set unless you changed the spring. ignorance happens...

I am planning a rebuild in the next couple years (she uses oil, smokes until she warms a bit) and upping the rpms were on my list for that process. I was looking for info that i could print off here and put in my binder.
