Very Pleased with Tachometer Restoration Service

I posted this on the Restoration Forum also but will post here as well since I've seen some threads related to this in the past on this forum.
As part of my recently completed restoration on my Farmall 240 tractor I received my restored and refreshed tachometer back from Metro Speedometer Electric in Independence, Missouri today. I originally learned of them through their advertisement in Red Power Magazine. After the tractor was completed the tachometer was definitely an item still requiring attention. It was back in about two weeks from when I shipped it to them and it came back looking like a new one would have appeared in 1958 when the tractor was built. New glass, new faceplate, new bezel and a fresh coat of red paint on the case. I think they performed an exceptional overhaul and refresh to this original tachometer and am very pleased with their service. If additional information is desired my email is open, Hal.

That"s good news, out of curiosity do they fix temp and oil pressure gauges as well? I"d rather have originals fixed than an overseas replacement.

John, I doubt they do but you can contact them as they are easy to communicate with through their website metrospeedo at sbcglobal dot net. On my Farmall 240 restoration I was lucky to find NOS gauges as I too didn't want the overseas stuff as well. Don't know for sure now but at one time OEM Tractor Parts advertised they still acquired theirs from the original IH supplier Rochester Gauge Co. HTH, Hal.
