574 injector pumps

I have four 574 tractors in my county. That I help
keep running. I have heard that injection pumps are
getting very hard to find or repair. Is there a
replacement.Or should my customers plan on replacing
the tractors.

I still reseal the Bosch VA pumps, but most hard parts are no longer available. I think the mechanical governed VE will work that is on the 585. Bosch # 0 460 404 052. VE4/10F1150R283. If good filter care is done they still last long, dirt and/or water is what kills the most.

Thanks. 30 years in the field working on diesels. So I am aware of what good proper care means. But try telling that to a customer. Two of the four get very good care. One gets ok care, but it does gravity feed the pump. So I assume the supply pump is part of the injection pump. The fourth one needs to retire.

You are correct, all VA and VE pumps have a supply pump in the front of the housing, and will work without a feed pump. Maybe that's what helps save them. Too bad some customers only respond to better care after a good punch in the wallet.
