Manufacture date for IH Series 300 Utility

How can I determine the date of manufacture for a IH Series 300 Utility tractor? I'm told its was a 1956 model, but want to verify. In addition, are there any free owner & service manuals available

Thanks

They were made in 1955 - 1956. If you get the serial number you can look it up to know what year it was made. I believe there is a listing of serial numbers for that purpose on this site. Serial number tag is on the right side of the tractor below the gas tank if I remember correctly.

Month built can be found.
Search for wisconsinhistory.org then click on library and archives. Then McCormick International Harvester collection. Find the serial number list for farmall works. Look for international 300. Will show the first tractor serial number built each month.

Owners manual and service manuals are available from Binder Books. If you're going to do much of anything besides maintenance, you'll want a parts manual too.

Found two numbers on the transmission and below gas tank:
360558-R3 & 105A
I assume it"s the first number, so that would make it a 1956 model I believe? I also assume this is really a Farmall although it is clearly marked as an International 300.

Thanks for everyone"s help

That's just a housing casting number and maybe a date code. Tractor serial number plate with a stamped in number should be found in the area between the engine oil filter and the fuel tank outlet on the clutch housing. It is a 1nternational utility tractor.
If the 10-5 -A is a date code the part was cast in Nov. 5 1955 and the tractor could be assembled in late 55 calendar year or in 56. Need a tractor serial number to tell.
