Farmall Super MTA with Independent PTO. I couldn't find any 10wt non detergent motor oil to do an oil change, so I used Hi-Tran. I filled it and mowed a field and changed it again because it was really dirty. Question, should I use the Hi-Tran or does anyone know where to find 10wt non detergent motor oil? That is what my owners manual calls for. Thanks, Ellis

i'd use utf as well.

ps. most compressor oils are ND unless synthetic.

last time i was in walmart and tractor supply they had a selection of non det oils too.

just saying. I'd use the utf myself.

Tractor Supply has it in five gallon buckets, it's 10w, non-detergent. It is labeled "motor oil" but it is what I'm now using in my 450 PTO.

You use nothing but the Hy trans in the transmission , rearend and PTO . They did away with the 10 W stuff years ago at the same time they did away with the 80-90 in the trans and rear end .

Hi, Ellis.

My N@P@ store had quarts of 10W on the shelf when I was looking for some. I'm not sure it was non-detergent, though. It was interesting stuff -- crystal clear and it flowed like mineral oil.
