Voltage regulator location

1949 orginal Farmall Super A . Where is the proper location for the voltage regulator.

If its early there could have been a cut-out on top there would be two screws on the gen where it mounts. Later when they went to a reg it was mounted below the gen. Check your kite sw if it has 4 positions it came with a cut-out. If three positions a reg mounted below the gen. So the key is your lite sw. What is the Delco Remy serial# on the gen. It should be a 1101355 or 1101423. If its a 1101501 it would be a later gen with reg. Now you can get a reg to replace the cut-out just have the gen#s so you get the correct one.
