So my dad"s B has a H4 mag. There was a bare spot on the wire going from the kill switch to the mag. The bare spot shorted out on one of the battery terminals while the tractor was running and killed the tractor instantly. Now there is no spark. Which of the mag components is likely to have fried? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the feedback guys.
The tractor is now 2 hrs away from me and I did not have time to tear anything out of it before I came home. So I am guessing my best bet is to get a coil and condenser and go from there?

Thanks

Nick

GOOD LORD!

NO way a condenser rated at 200+ Volts or so got hurt by 6 or 12 Volts!

If he's lucky he just burned the points, UNLUCKY, (and LIKELY) the smoke got let out of the coil.
