International 300U Hydraulic Ram

I have a 300 U and the hydraulic ram bleeds down when in use. Are there rebuilt rams available out there or am going to have to repair the one I have. Any thoughts on what might be the cause?

The two hoses going to the cylinder provide up and down. One of them is the "extend" hose that lifts the hitch. If you feel the hoses when lifting to the top, (be careful) one will be noticably pressurized. (it usually has a restrictor in it as well to prevent extreme droping of the implement if a hose breaks)
Lift the hitch and block it with a hydraulic, or highlift jack. Let the drawbar down on this jack to the location where the lift hose has no pressure. Carefully remove the hose from the cylinder (it may still have pressure, put a rag around it abd go slow), and cap it and plug the cylinder port to prevent it from leaking. Lower the jack to place lifting pressure on the bottom of the cylinder. If it now leaks down (it might take time if there is no implement on it) the packing/seals on the cylinder are bypassing oil. If it stays up, the valve may be leaking down. Jim

Like others have suggested, you need to determine the cause of the bleed down before you start spending money.

If it turns out to be the cylinder, a new OEM cylinder would cost several hundred dollars, if you could even get one. CaseIH does not list the cylinder as an available part, so you're out of luck.

A hydraulic shop should be able to replace seals and o-rings in your cylinder for a couple hundred at most.

It's a tie-rod type cylinder, so you could tear it down yourself, even.
