Super C hydraulic question

Is it possible for the hydraulic oil to leak into the crankcase on a Super C ??

Yes, it happens when the seal wears out and starts to leak on the input shaft of the hydraulic pump.

Thanks for the rapid response.
Also - when I had it working it seemed to bog down the engine when I had no valve opened - is there a relief valve that I could adjust or ???

The spool valve on the right side of the tractor back of the starter may be hanging up and not going to the neutral position. There could be dirt, crud or something else on the exposed part of the shaft that sticks up. If the rubber bellows that is suppose to be on it is gone or rotten, it will make it worse. Just a thought.

Here's a parts breakdown on the Pesco hydraulic pump. Item 4 is the seal and 11 is the part that gets worn from the old seal. I think there's a speedi sleeve available to cover that worn surface. Hal
