top link holes

I have 3 holes on my back blade for the top link, same as on the 3 point hitch. When I hook up the blade do I need to match the holes on both the implement and hitch with the top link? For instance, for max lift height I know use the 3rd hole, should the top link be in the 3rd hole on the implement as well or is there an advantage to hooking it to one of the other holes? thanks, Anthony

Correction, the blade only has 2 holes...so I guess how do these match up for blade performance. ~Anthony

The height measured from the cat 1 or cat 2 pins
to the top link hole on the implement being used
you will try and match appox that SAME height on
the tractors three point arms pivot points to one
of those top link holes.

This will help keep the implement level all the
way through the three points travel all the way
raised to all the way lowered.

(Hope I stated this clear enough?) ;)

And,BTW, NONE of my 3 point implements seen to have
the same spacing height OR width wise. (My Bush Hog
brand mower Cat 1 pins set about 1"-1 1/2" + WIDER than my
boom and skid/pallet forks. Constantly having to
adjust between all the things I hook up to!)

You would think they would try and stay with some
kind of a standard?????? :(
