1206 Question

Thinking of getting a 1206 standard but looks like the bell housing has a small crack in it. What other bell housings will fit this? 706, 806?

From the 06 models up until just before the end of the 66 series.

The last of the 66 series had center sections designed for the 86 series and had cab mounts where the serial plate is on your tractor. Those housings will also fit but you will need the timing pointer from a late 66 series tractor.

Thanks Owen. I think I can get one from a 706. IH must have really had their head on straight to use a common part thru all of those models! Not only would the bell housing need to be the same but what hooks up to it!
