Does any one know of a good after market cab for a 460? Hopefully it would be a Rops, or at least something I can modify. I have a lot of hills at my place.
Also, how common was the fast reverser transmission on the 460? Thanks in advance.

AFIK,there were no cabs 'made' for a 460.There were a very few outthere for a 560 that were rear entry. Those all predate the ROPS.You could(if you have the skills) modify/adapt something to fit.Shown is an Ansel cab from a 706 that I adapted to a 560.Looks good, fit well. But was a royal pain to get into or out of.It was not ROPS.Both were later sold....Over the years,I've adapted a couple cabs...from Ford 9600 to IH 856;1130 Massey cab to IH 706.Still own that one

BTW.Several years ago,My brother-in-law (I helped) put a (small) cab from a 706(I think) on a 300 utility. It 'fit' pretty well, too. That tractor/cab are still being used today.Thare was a company(Westrum Mfg) in Longmont Co many years ago(60s) that made a crude 5 sided cab for a 560. It was kind of like an eggshell, but it was a roof and sides.....Havent seen one in YEARS.

My 'next' cab project is a cab on my SuperM.Looking for ah IH "ice cream box" cab from a 706 to 1256 ,etc.Need something that is kinda of long,as to accomodate a front of tire entry.

DeltaRed, I don't think an ice cream box cab is going to do it for you on an M... Seat's too far back.

You could hang your butt out the back of the cab I guess.

Ive done some measureing.I believe it will work.IH
put some on the late 560.Or maybe it was dealer
'addon'? But I've acctually never seen one.'Cept for
a picture....
