IH 424 hydraulic line (pic)

Want to replace this line(hose) I think it must be the return line and not under pressure. What would you call the hose material? Who sells it?

try local tractor dealer, hydraulic hose shop. Low pressure hyd. suction hose

That is the supply or suction line to the pump. No pressure there, but it's important that is doesn't have a leak or the pump will suck air and if bad enough, lose prime.

YES It is the suction hose. I replaced mine on my 444 last year.
You will need hydraulic oil line, low pressure hose. The problem I came across is the size was 1 1/8 dia. and no one stocked it.
Case had a part number for it but it was real spendy! and the case/IH dealer said it was two weeks to get it in.
I ordered it from a hose supplier on-line, bought 3 feet for $20 if remember right.
