560 precleaner

Hello,
Who can shed some light on the Donaldson precleaners?
I have a restored 560 and want to add the precleaner.
I have the Donaldson clear bowl on it now.
Was the precleaner an option or on certain models? I dont want to put it on if its not going to be original. Does any one know the correct color of the screen, and top and bottom of the assembly should be? I have seen them every color.

the screen is white, lid is galvanized color along with the bottom bowl sits on. the pipe is red. I have seen more precleaners on these tractors than without them. without them the bowl just sat above the hood. i believe the very early ones may not have had the precleaner. this is the colors right from new on tractors that were never painted.
 
meant to add, that I have seen red screens also. so maybe the white ones were installed later and red from factory.

I thought they were what you said in the first message....but now im wondering about the screens also....red or white?
Does any one know the answer to that? What was factory?

At this 'late date' ,"correct" is a mute point...It could be either red or white. Paint it white.That would look SHARP! I've seen em either way.
