Attached are 2 pics of my drivers side (he he ) of the 3 pt. It was very very loose for reasons that should be apparent. I am trying to make it a bit more snug. It has the quick connect in the center under engine. I see on the 3pt pic that you can see a hole for a pin after you put the wobble point in. The wobble or pivot point fits over the shaft but also covers the stopper pin. My question is do I cut a slot in the pivot to fit a pin on the 3pt or is there a different way to do this??? If you notice, there was some grinding on the end of the shaft where someone had welded a nut as a stopper. Should I tap or die that tip and put a nut on it...??? If someone has a pic of theirs, it may help too. Thank you.

For some reason I can not upload the 2 pix. dang it.

Wrong terminology. What I am putting on is a Ball Joint. I want to know if I need to cut into the ball part of it to get the hold back pin to go in and seat against the ball so if I ever use the quick connect under the engine, the ball joint does not go off the end of the 3 point.

top pic or joint.

A 400 Farmall never came with a 3 point hitch. A Fast hitch 2 point was normal, with an option for a standard drawbar like on an M.
