1977 1086. Disked cornstalks w/IH 475 18'. Switched to plow, no problems. Went back to disk, cant lift it with either remote. Appears to have pressure at the remote. Using IH to pioneer adaptors that worked fine to this point.

If you unhooked your disc with pressure in one of the lines, it's almost impossible to reattach without first "bumping" the ball end of the hose on something to let the pressure off.

Just my 2¢,

Allan

Sounds like you have more pressure in the male tip on cylinder than your tractor can produce to open it. That is the beauty of couplers that can be coupled under pressure. Relieve the pressure in cyl.

Checked lines. No pressure in them. Changed filter. Oil full. Still won't work. I can hear pressure when either remote is pushed. Sounds like a laboring noise. 3pt. and power steering work fine. It won't lift my old 11' disk either, so doesn't appear to be disk problem. Looks like I'll finish seedbed with the old 560D.

You have one hose not fully hooked up.One 'ball' is
not releaceing.Or maybe the little 'valve' on the
couplers is not fully to the 'on' position. If it
worked when unhooked, then didnt on the next
hookup, then its got to be a hookup problem.

Looks like I misdiagnosed that one. Those adaptors are notorious for giving the type of problem you are experiencing though. If the system builds enough pressure to make engine labor I am sure you also have to hold the levers . If the levers just stay in detent but won't raise then you would have a pressure problem.

I agree with the comments that say you have
pressure some where.

Push the balls in on the hose ends. Then shut
tractor off and work levers back and forth. Then
take a punch, or something that fit good, and push
the balls in on the tractor remote.

One of these operations is going to give you a
HyTran bath, but should fix the problem.

where is the 3pt lever? if it is in the "down past down" position, the remotes lose their strength. my 1086 wouldn't lift the side dump wagon, so I put it on the manure spreader in hopes it could manage to open the spreader gate. when I hooked the 1086 to the spreader, I lifted the 3pt arms back up (had them low for the chopper). I will say that the door on the spreader sure opens fast when you yank the lever back all the way.

First, thanks to all the guys who respond to these problems. This is a great resource. Followed suggestions on position of 3pt. lever and also relieving pressure in remote valves. No pressure was present. neither of those tries worked. Adaptors worked fine for initial disking and plowing. Still stumped.
