Farmall 706 Fast Hitch Side to Side Movement

I have been having a hard time understanding the fast hitch.

I know that there are the wing type things that limit the lateral movement on a fast hitch when it is up.

When I am grading with any side movement or plowing snow with any angle on the grader blade, the fast hitch is all the way down and the arms get sucked to one side.

My manual has a section on the fast hitch and it seems to talk about pinning the hitch in place, but I can't seem to make sense of the diagram in the book.

Is there a way to do this? I am just trying to limit the side-to-side movement in the fast hitch when it is lowered below the sway blocks.

Are you sure that you have the correct sway blocks? I only have a few inches of lateral travel in the fast hitch on my 806, (like 1-2) and I can't lower the hitch below the point of the sway blocks being useful. Does it lift high enough? Maybe your rockshaft arms are indexed wrong and allowing your hitch to go too low. I'm just thinking out loud, as I don't have any such problems with my fast hitch setup.
As I think about it more, there are / were 2 cast iron brackets for you to unpin the fast hitch links from the rockshaft and pin them solid, like a rigid drawbar. But, that won't help you with your lateral sway problem at all. -Andy

Depending on the hitch series/serial # break there are several options for control of lateral movement. the link should take you to caseih on line parts store. Jim
