Very nicely done Hal!!

"After three years, coupled with a two year recovery from a non-related tractor incident, my Farmall 240 restoration is finally complete except for decals and some front weights. I would like to thank Bob M, Rustyfarmall, Mark Peters, Janicholson along with others for technical advice provided during the restoration. Also, a special thanks to Al L. in WI for contributing the original IH battery cover for the tractor. It was a great project during which I met numerous helpful individuals on the search for parts. I added an IH 706 step on the left side for some needed assistance from the ground without altering the original tractor. Also, note the photo of how I wired the dash as once installed working room is at a premium and basically non-existent. For anyone with a vision of doing a 240 finding parts will be your biggest challenge, Hal."

All I can say is WOW ! Your 240 turned out great, Hal. That is one beautiful tractor. I can`t wait to see it in person.

Nice job! Beautiful tractor. If you"re ever near Mi and you want
some weights, let me know. If not it looks great just the way it
is. Red

Thanks for advising on the weights but I already have the front frame and slab weights but they haven't been blasted and painted yet. Those frame weights are hard to find and spent several months trying to find a nice set, Hal.

WOW!! that thing looks good. hopefully someday I will have mine looking that good. do you plan on bringing it to any shows in mid Missouri as I would love to see it in person possibly boonville

I'll probably have it at the RPRU in 2015 hosted jointly by our Missouri Chapter and the Kansas Chapter in Sedalia if I can work it in with haying next year. When is the Booneville show you are making reference to? Are you a Missouri resident somewhere within this state?

FarmallHal; thank you for the mention. I was glad to do that. I belatedly thank you for providing copies of 'IH Application Listing of ...Implements' (I looked at it again just this evening) because I can't figure out how to get even with you for that kindness.

Your Farmall 240 looks wonderful!! A meticulous restoration. What an ingenious job of making wiring your 240 dash easier. Folks will be stealing that idea.

Now you will have more time to take Carol out for coffee and pie.
Take care.

Yes, a new stainless steel muffler purchased from Steiner's and I also used a polished piece of threaded 1 1/2" 304 stainless steel pipe between the manifold and the muffler, Hal.

Al, if you could find some time for some travel in our direction we would be very pleased to treat you to some fabulous home made pie and wonderful coffee. A nephew is a co-owner and managing partner of a well know specialty coffee roaster and we are provided with several unique blends to try during the year that we would be happy to share with you, Hal.

Beautiful job! We had a 240U on the farm. Sedalia is about a 3 hr drive from my place, so maybe I can make it to the RPRU if I'm in the states. Went there a few months ago to the Sierra factory.

Mark,
Do you live in NE Wisconsin? East of Green Bay area? Are you the one with all the attachments for SC Farmall?
I think we met years ago....I live near Reedsburg, Wi.
LA in WI

I`m south of Green Bay about 20 miles, give or take. You could say I have a few fast hitch implements. I think at last count had 35 . Most are for the SC-230 fast hitch, but I have enough large point stuff too. I`m sure we`ve met at some local shows. I had some of my stuff at the Red Power in Madison in 2008, possibly we met there . Also a long time member of Chapter 4 IHCC.

the show in Booneville I was referring to is the Missouri river valley steam engine show. its in sept they usually feature a different brand each year I don't remember which brand it is this year I live near jeff city but my wife has some family down your direction
