Super C Fast Hitch control lever (up or down)?

Quick question regarding the hydraulic control on the fast hitch. I have one Super C where you pull back on the lever to raise up the hitch. I purchased another over the winter and noticed the new one is the opposite? Forward is "up" and back is "down".

I need to replace hydraulic hoses soon and was wondering what was the correct orientation? I have seen a handful of videos online and looks like forward is supposed to be up???

Thanks in advance!

all the Super C's I have had contact with, including the one dad bought new, were built so that you push the lever forward, hitch goes up, pull back, hitch goes down.

Frankly I would go with whatever is most comfortable.

Push = up would be totally bass-ackward for me, for example.

Anything I've ever used was set up for pull back to lift, push forward to lower.

The logic being, you're looking backward watching the implement when you come to the end of the row. If you pushed to raise, you'd have to lean forward to reach, and most likely take your eyes of the implement unless you have long arms.

When you lower the implement, you're looking forward to make sure you're lined up with the next row, so the push action doesn't disrupt you like it would if you were lifting the implement.

On modern tractors with side consoles, it really doesn't matter because you don't have to reach, period.

Yet as one transfers the leaver action from the present place beside
the seat on the later tractors; I am thinking of the B275 B414 type
and the N9 ford my father had ; as you pushed down ,so went the
implement SO transferring that action to the column it would MAKE
WONDERFUL sense to push forward to go down as well. Just my
warped thought mechanically speaking.

you've got your question answered,
but 'most comfortable' works for me.

I drove a forklift on the job for years.
Retired now and a farmer asked me to help out loading totes with a big JD with loader forks, because he knew I had a forklift license.
Stick controls were backwards and I absolutely couldn't do it! lol
Asked him if I could swap the hoses, and he said sure, go ahead.
no more problems....................

Thanks for all the feedback! And I agree, makes way more sense to
pull back to raise the hitch so I think I will swap the hoses. During
our plow day last weekend I make myself look like a total rookie a
few times because I wasn"t used to this tractor lol.
