Hello

anyone knows whats the differenses is between 886 and1486
i know the engine is different but is there any other.

thanks C-J from sweden

The transmission and rear end are heavier built to handle the extra HP of the 1486.

Cat 3 3 pt on the 1486 instead of the Cat 2 on the 886.

Larger radiator on the 1486 as well. Usually larger tires on the 1486 as well.

About the only things the same are the tin work and cab.

Ok so there is no good idea to mount à turbocharger on the 886?

Maybe transmission Will be destroyed

The main castings are all the same. Other than the 14 having a few heavier bearings, the TA, speed transmission, and range transmission are all the same. The ring and pinion may have different ratios though the replacement parts are all the same. The differentials are the same but the final drives are heavier. The brakes use the same parts but the 14 has more disks on each side.

Go ahead a put a turbo on it if you want to. Just dont get carried away with fuel and it will be just fine!
