IH 666 G Prices?

I am curious too know if anyone knows what kind of pricing they are going for currently. Not asking price; but actually selling. Have a relative that just repainted, & partially restored one with the following details.

1) 1 hyd remote outlet.
2) Wide Front
3) Around 46 - 4700 1 owner hours.
4) Rebuilt engine around 300 hours ago.
4) Hydraulics rebuilt (except the pump)
5) Original Torque that works excellent.
6) Does have mismatched Rear 15.5-38's. 1 in need of replacement.
7) New Front 7.50-16 tires.
8) Bar axle with heavy cast wheels.
9) 1 set of Rear wheel weights, & 5 front weight.
10) New Float Ride Seat.
11) All new lights with all new wiring.
12) New starter with a genuine HD Farm battery.
13) Wide Front End does need rebuilt. Lots of tire slop!
14) New, or repainted decals (Cant remember for sure).
15) 1974 Gas.

He's thinking of letting it go, & I am thinking of making an offer. After all its been in the family for 40 years! Thanks to all Who respond!

The problem is, your relative has $6000+ just in the engine and other repairs. He's going to want to get his money out of it, and he surely thinks the tractor has some value beyond just the repair costs.

I would be willing to bet that he's got a 5-figure number in his mind.

Cardinal rule about tractor jockeying: Don't spend any money fixing them if you plan to sell them. It's a guaranteed loss.

Areas vary... but even a fresh rebuild only has so much value. I'd expect to see a gas for around 45-6500 here... in good running shape. We've got two gas farmalls and they are a thirsty bunch... which is why I'm considering a cummins conversion on one, but I digress... One of our neighbors sold their NFE 666 for 1100... I didn't even know they were thinking about selling it though I thought about asking since their father passed. Shame I missed it.

I always hate making offers as most of them time people get upset (usually because they think it's worth more than what I think it's worth).

I'd just ask him what he'd want for it. It's the best way in my opinion.
