656 steering hand pump

Fluid seeping from beneath steering wheel on 656d. Removed steering wheel. After removing snap ring how is best way to remove top seal from hand pump. From there is there anything else to fix or renew from the top side. I do not want to take pump off tractor. Thanks

Just put the steering wheel back on and turn. The pressure will push seal out.

Don't have to put str wheel back on, just put a rag over to save getting facefull of oil. start engine, wiggle shaft with pliars and be ready to shut off engine seal will come out.

I think I'll just continue to set the steering wheel back on the shaft and wiggle it a bit. It doesn't take much and I hate getting sprayed with oil.
