got a super a that's not getting fire at plugs. checked coil that's good and I had installed the new electronic ignition in it and also I had droped the rotor in oil the other day and im wondering if that could be the cause because its still damp??? thanks

looks like there are two diferent distributer caps one tall, one short could have mismatched cap&rotor--- go to yt parts&check witch one you have----I was surprised to see how many varriations there was in elec. igns

Ok so what you are saying is that I need to buy the cap that"s for a delco ignition and not for ih ignition? Because I haven"t change or moved any of these parts thanks

You need the delco cap for the delco distributor, the IH cap for the IH distributor, and the Prestolite cap for the Prestolite distributor. They don't mix and match.

If the tractor doesn't have fire AFTER you put the electronic ignition in, then you need to troubleshoot the electronic ignition. There should be troubleshooting instructions that came with it, or on the manufacturer's website.

Electronic ignitions have been known to be bad out of the box. You could have also made an honest mistake installing it. It may not be the correct unit for your particular tractor, too. Lots of possibilities.

Because I have a ih distributer but have a pertroxic igintion in it
so what I thought you meant was that you need a pertroxics
cap to go with the set I put in with the ih distributer
