Farmall H pulling tractor

Looking to build a tractor for antique tractor pulling. I have a farmall h that I was thinking about using. Most of the people in our areas have 460 or 560s with a few ms. Would an h be to small for pulling?

An H might be in the lower end of the wt class. However,in our club any tractor no matter small or large can pull side by side with equal results. We pull percentages, not wt classes.Keeps it fairer. And kinda neat/fun when a C 'outpulls' a wd9.The big tractors pull farther out but they dont get as much percentage because the tractor is so much heavier.

I agree with Delta. If no one is running an H there is a reason. Some rule systems for tractor categories place some tractors at a size disadvantage. H Farmalls can be made light enough to run with Smaller tractors, but they are at the small end in the central weight zone. (again look to the rules you intend to Compete in. Jim

Ive got a bone stock super h we percentage dead weight pull with, Ive done pretty good with, my 13 year old son almost always beats me and has gotten track record percentage for the day several times, sometimes by almost 20 percent.
