Over run clutch

Got the over run clutch today. I noticed in the instructions it is held on the tractor with a roll pin. I assume that I can use it on both the rotary mower and the sickle mower without any problems? I would hate to have to remove it when I use the sickle mower.

As a matter of fact, you can install it and leave it on permanently. You can run any PTO powered implement with the over running clutch installed.

if you leave it on, when you put on the sickle mower, you probably will have to shorten the sickle mower shaft.

I use one on my JD430 for a rotary mower, and leave it on as much as I can as it is a bit of a pain to install and remove. Make sure when you put the pin through it is centered so the o/r pto will turn free one way. Last year I used a post hole auger on the tractor butpto on it was too long and I broke the pto housing on tractor
