One more Super C fast hitch question

I am in the process on setting tractor up with C-20 two bottom fast hitch plow, now for the question when hooking up the adjusting link (bellcrank) that runs forward to the touch control box. What do I do with the piece that was hooked up and is hooked to the brake drum Does it just lay there hooked to nothing or am I suppose to remove it from the tractor???

Rex, That is sort of your choice I believe as long as it doesn't interfere with the movement of the adjusting link. I don't have a C-20 plow operators or setting up instructions manual so don't know what is noted as preferable by IH. If you do remove it watch for the small bushing between the bolt and the level lock casting as they are difficult to locate and obtain. I always keep mine together with a locking plastic tie strap when off the tractor, Hal.

I take mine off when I use my rotary mower. I did not want to take a chance of it getting in a bind. Like the other guy said, don"t lose the bushing.

I leave mine on. Never had a problem.
