I serviced my 706 ih tranny and when it is (cold below 35) at night the next morning i have no stearing and no brakes. after i warm up the fluid with the loader constant use for five or more minutes it will start building presure and then work fine the rest of the day. What do i check next???
I have only used the tractor for maybe an hour at a time Its just ????

I just went thru the same thing with my 756. I replaced the filter an after a few minutes of jacking the three point up & down ,moving the steering wheel, stomping my brake's its working fine. Good luck WILDMAN
p.s. if you relaced the filter when you serviced it may have air in it.

Adding extra Hytran (over full) may fix it. there is a suction side Oring that can leak. Putting 5 gallons over the mark might be a first (cheap) repair. The over full condition is not going to cause issues. Jim

I had to change the pump on my 706. When I first started having a problem. I had to take out the bleeder plug till it picked up prime and that gets messy when oil comes out.

had same problem on my 1206 awhile back.....try this first , its the cheapest.. just replace the hydro filter.. mine was only in for about 20hrs, and plugged...I used a friends hydro cylinder on a plow that I suspect had some junk in it...might not work, but quick and cheapest place to start.

It"s on the back of the MCV value.

If you are going to try this, save your self a big mess and get a fitting that will screw into the housing, and you can attach a hose long enough to reach the fill tube on the back of the tractor.

I don"t care how fast you are, when the pump primes, the oil will fly.

If you have time, put a heat lamp on the filter over night and rear end housing and see if that will get it going.
