Tractor values

I am curious on the value of a couple of tractors that I am looking at. The first is a 560 Diesel, not running but loose good TA really good 15.5 -38 tires tin work is all there and straight with good emblems. It also has a fast hitch. The second is a 400 gas, running good tin decent paint fair tires, no fast hitch. The third is a Regular on steel, no lugs but does have rubber tire tread bolted to the rims. I believe the motor may be stuck from sitting but I dont know for sure if it is or not. Not for sure if the lugs are available or not. It does have the correct mag and carb on it. It was restored several years ago and still looks good. Everything has narrow fronts too. Thanks in advance for your help, Lee.

Id have to agree also, if you don't take the Regular, i might be interested. If restored recently like you said, it may be worth a bit more. The engines in those are usually easy to free up.

I bought a loose 560 diesel a few years back for 1500 with FH, factory wide and OK tin. Thought I got a decent deal.

well........after 500 at the pump shop just to get it running found out the head gasket leaks and the hydraulics are iffy....

word to the wise on the 560.....buy it FAR cheaper than what the others have said what its 'worth'....

Recent estate auction at Welch Mn very nice 560 brought $3250. Had fast hitch including fh drawbar. Tractor had good home, excellent maintenance, well attended auction of largely IH equipment. It was on proxibid, look under Houghton auction co on March 1. Far better to buy a good running tractor at that price. Joe

How do you know the TA is good on a non running tractor? That sounds like a sales pitch if I ever heard one.Its been my experience that people will always tell you the TA is good until you drive it and know how to really check it and call there bluff.

I have ran the 560 and it worked when I drove it in the shed. It is sitting in the same spot that I parked it. The previous owner went to move it and had it running then it stopped. That is the last time it was worked with.

I agree... How do you know the torque is good if it doesn't run?
People will say anything for a sale. Many torques work with no load on them.

I saw 3 RUNNING 560 diesels sell at an auction last summer. The first one brought $1900, second $1800 and the third $1600.

Just this past Saturday a 560 diesel sold for $4750 near LaMotte, Iowa.
