taking a fast hitch off of a junker 100 farmall and putting it on a super A the lift box on the super A does not have the place for the lift assist spring to attach to the lift ...so what would u do change out the arm only or swap the complete lift box in favor of the 100 series box ...difference notably is the A box has a pipe plug on the rear for an oil fill and the 100 lift box looks just like the later ones just like a 140 has with the bigger fill plug more to the center ...TIA IHSMOKE

Try it without the helper spring first. I have two 140s. Moved the one point off the older one to the recently acquired one because the mower on the one prevented much use of the hitch. I've never gotten around to moving the helper spring and I've never had a problem with any of my fast hitch implements and I have 8 implements.

The problem with using the 100's is that you're getting into a touch control of unknown condition. It could be a BAD leaker.

If your Super A's is leaking badly now, and needs a rebuild, you got nothing to lose by trying the 100's. Otherwise I would just transfer the arms over if it's possible. IIRC the shaft sizes are different.

the 100 is a running tractor everythings okay just like to know which one you would prefer and if just changing the rockshaft would work
