Farmall A rear wheel centers

Maybe ya'll can educate me on the rear wheel centers on the 1942 A I just picked up. The right center is a heavy cast piece about 2" or so thick. The left is also cast, but only about 3/4" thick (didn't take exact measurements). Is this the way they came from the factory or do I have a mismatched set? I'm kinda assuming the right one is heavier to counter all the weight on the left side of the tractor due to the offset engine, but am curious to know if that is correct. Thanks for any info.
