farmall 450?

I recently purchased what was advertised as a farmall 450. After inspection it is what I believe a combination of a 400 and 450. It has a 400 fast hitch, steering wheel, it starts with a key, and the serial number is 35423 but it also has 450 PPBE 64. The casting codes for the ta housing and the rear axles are 3-3-B to 3-13-B, but the block,rear end, hyd. tank, gas tank support, and front end are all around 11-3-B. Also on the block it has C-281. It has all the original emblems 450 and McCormick and the McCormicks have the white paint in the background. This also has factory power steering, and a tach drive distributor, with a tach. I am looking for some more information about what it is that I have. Thanks for the help.

Not a 450 serial number. Think you answered your own question. Parts switched out sometime.

I know the serial number is 400 but why this also on the tag 450 PPBE 64

the block is a 450 block. either way they both are pretty much the same tractor.

I have a 400 dad bought at a sale 12 years ago with 450 hood on it he paid $300 for it thinking it was a 450 it sold not running got it home found out it was400 put battery and plugs points cap and wires and it runs better than all other farmalls on place lost dad in 2012 but I still have 400 and his SMTA use them in the field still
