Quick Hitch Plow Model Unknown

How does one determine the model number of a 2-14" quick-hitch plow? There is nothing stamped in the steel except one number: "IH 518003R1". The plow needs new shins and shares but without the model number I don't know what to order.

A picture would help alot. Depending on when it was made, a 2pt. plow could be in a couple of different parts books covering plows, or the parts books covering equipment meant for the SC-200-230, or 300-450 tractors. Looking through the indexes (or is it indicies) in all of these books would find your part number.

If you only need wear parts, you do not need to know what model of plow you have. You need to know what types of bottoms you have. Again, a picture would help, or part numbers off of the backside of the wear parts would be needed to determine this.

If you can post a couple photos along with the size of the points someone will be able to identify I'm almost certain, Hal.

There are several models of Fast hitch plows fitting the description. A picture is important.
Superchief moldboards are different than plowchief. Many styles were options based on region and soil types.
We need to know if it has removable points (separate from shares) or shares with points built into them. The Plowchief plow with separate points is tough to find parts for.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I've tried finding information from all the links on the left but no luck. I do not think I want to match exactly what is on the plow now, which was on the plow when I bought it. I think what is in place is not correct. I'll send photographs. Maybe you all can figure it out. Thanks again.

Just remembered that I got a parts book for all the Super C Fasthitch implements. You're number is for the left beam of a C20 plow but it refers you to PO-6 parts catalog what ever that is. I think most were Plow Chief. The bottoms on my plow I think were taken off a doner IH plow, was that way when I bought it. This book refers to the po-6 book for the plow bottoms.

I need new all new wear parts for my C20...mine is the type with the separate parts of the points, not much luck...guess gonna have to just put frogs from new 500 series easier to find wear parts that way I think.

That number I had in my original posting is located on the left beam. It is the only number or indication I can find anywhere on the plow. Thanx

gab.... every time you post that picture I get sentimental, almost teary eyed. It's just exactly like the one we had when I was a kid, right down to the front wheel weights, and spent many an hour on in the late '60s.
Whoops, just noticed one difference... ours had a glass jar pre-cleaner.
