Nose grill emblem

I am restoring a 1941 B Farmall and need to replace the front grill.
When did they change the grill emblem from a square IH to the
horizontal FARMALL aluminum plate.

Acctually,the horizontal piece was Original on letter series/The square IH was came out on the super series.The horizontal one is right for a B

you can buy the alum. Farmall plate new , but the war time tractors ( 40 - 45) actully had a steel name plate & gear shift knob from the factory , if your being correct about it , but they all say Farmall on them

The horizontal "Farmall" plate is correct for all years of a Farmall B.

The "IH" plate was not used until later, after production of the B was over.
