Height of Farmall M

I am looking to add my first red tractor to my collection and I am considering a farmall M. My question is how tall is it to the top of steering wheel? Tractor data says 78.2", is this accurate? I guess when push comes to shove I need to measure it before I buy it. Thanks

depends on what size tires are on it... 15.5-38 and 13.6-38 are same diameter... 14.9-38 is taller.

The M we had had 14.9 x 38's and steering wheel cleared by 2" going in 7 foot door and made sure to take muffler off and lean way over.

My M with 14.9x38's fits through a standard 7ft garage door but you have to do some serious bending to fit yourself through the door! Don't forget to remove the muffler, I forgot and bent the crap out of it, BUT, I needed a new one so it gave me a good excuse!! :lol: Take it slow when entering a garage, one slip and you could run yourself over...safety first. ~Anthony

I had the owner measure it for me and it will just fit. I don"t drive my tractors into the garage, I push them. I"m still young.

my super M with 15.5 38s will go in my 7 foot garage door, but you don't want your fingers on top of the steering wheel....
