I know this subject has been discussed before. I've
seen it before. I looked in the archives and had no
luck. My 3 point will only go up when you move the
auxillary valve. I took cover off under the seat
and don,t know what I am looking at. Can this be
fixed fairly easily or left to someone with
experience. It seems to me that it was possibly an
o-ring issue. If it can be fixed by me what book
would you all recommend for guidance. Thanks for
your help

DV If the pump was bad the hitch would lift if you activate the auxiliary valves. I would say you have a bad load valve and does not load the system, when you activate the auxiliary valve the oil can only go to hitch so it must lift.

I just happen to have the IH blue ribbon service manual for the 656 at my desk tonight and your problem is in the Unloading valve, The orfice is plugged or the valve is stuck or the unloading valve ball is not seating or the seat is loose.

The unloading valve is under the seat. My e-mail is open, you will need a few pages from the service manual. charlie U

CharlieU Thank you for the info. If you could get me those few pages from the service manual it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Doug
