One Point Fast Hitch Disk Plow

I've been working on refurbishing this disk plow. I've not been able to find much info on it. Does anyone know the model number designation?? I'd like to find a manual for it. Also, I wonder if anyone knows a source for the disks? I've been told that new ones are not available anymore.

I have measured the blades on mine and the dish is the same as replacement disc blades.(farm store disc blades) I am going to use an old one to mark the holes on the new ones and cut them out with a plasma cutter. Mine has a big center hole from the factory and I will leave them in the new blades.

You can't see in the photo, but those disks have a center hole. Not sure why IH did that, as it lets dirt get behind the disk. I believe the original diameter of the disks was 26 inches. One of mine is 24 inches, other is 22 1/2.

That is IH model 1-F151 Disk Plow. The 2-point configuration of the same/similar plow is called C-200 for the Super C through 230 tractor. When I restored my C-200 I ended up with disk blades from Wiese Corporation out of Iowa. You need to go through one of their dealers; they will not sell directly. My memory says it was a P-24 pilot. Then you have the challenge/opportunity to drill the mounting holes. They mount with a plow bolt so you also need to figure out how to make the indentation for the bolt head. The parts book for your F-151 shows a 26 inch blade as the only blade; the C-200 takes either 24 or 26-inch blades. Try to find a copy of F11-1 McCormick Parts Catalog - Farm Implements for use with Farmall 100 Tractor. You will find it most helpful.

Disc harrow blades of the same diameter are easy to find. However, the curvature probably won't be the same and the won't work as well. Try to match the original curvature the best you can. I know that Agrisupply has a fair selection of blades and may have something close.

When measuring the depth of the dish on your old blades, be sure to allow for what was lost as the diameter wore down.

Thanks for the info on the parts catalog. I should have thought to look for that as I have same catalog for the super A, but of course it has no fast hitch stuff in it. I've assembled a collection of 8 one point hitch implements (4 are original IH, others modified) so this catalog is of much interest to me. I found an original one on EBay, but I found that Binder Books has a reprint which is the one I opted for.
