MTA aerial no.

I have a MTA ser.no. 61685 and I"m trying to figure out when and where it was made. The tag is kind"a smashed up and I can"t tell if there is a L before the number. How would I get access to the production records?

SMTA only made at the Farmall works. Unless you count some SMTA sent out for a LP conversion but the tractors were still built and sent from Farmall works.. 61685 was assembled in February 1954. First month of regular SMTA production.
Also didn't add that SMTA tractors didn't use a F or L on the serial tag to ID a factory.
