I am searching for info. off of the data tag of a 1952 super m with a l.p. tank that was manufactured by the western tank mfg. co. from Tulsa Ok. I would like to know what the stamped diameter figure is off of the tank. I need to purchase a new float guage assembly and the stamped diameter from the tag is what I need. I am also looking for the water capacity if anyone can find that too. The tank is a couple thousand miles away ,so I cant just go looking myself and I really need that figure before I have the guage built. Thank You

I've learned something; The western tank mfg. was from Lubbock Tx. So what I'm looking for is probably not built by western. The data tag I am looking for was welded on all sides directly to the tank and has Tulsa Ok stamped in it. Steering shaft went thru the tank. I'm pretty sure it's factory l.p.

24" O.D. and 38 gallons

This is on both the later triangle shaped and earlier rectangle shaped data plate.

Santa Fe engine and tank co of Tulsa OK

I've got one! Manufactured in Lubbock, Texas, steering wheel shaft goes longitudinally through the tank, what exactly do you need to know? It's out back and pretty cold, but I could send you the info tomorrow afternoon, and my email is open. Let me know, Hugh

Centex Farmall , Thank you for helping ! I didn't mention that the data tag is rectangle and maybe 3 or 4 in. by 8 in. in size ??? The guage faces the operator as does the valves and relief valve. As I mentioned, I am 99 percent sure it is factory l.p. I haven't done much on Farmalls and have never seen Santa fe engine and tank tags before. I've seen brunner, western ,trinity , and a few others, manchester , etc. I will get ahold of my supplier and have them build a new float guage assembly for a 24 in. tank I also know this guage is a "senior" as the bolt circle is 2 & 1/2 in. vs. a "junior " @ 2&1/32 in.
With any luck at all, my customer will be thrilled to have a new working guage.
Thanks again for your help guys !!!

Okay, correction on my part: I went out and looked at mine, and this is what I found out: It was manufactured in 1951, by a company called "BD Farm Equipment Co." out of Leland, Mississippi, and it is not factory apparently, as it doesn't have a place for a gauge--instead it has a device that gives a direct indication of how near full it is, kind of hard to describe but it works, apparently. Good luck, Hugh
