Was grading snow for about a 1 hour, Then it dumped hydraulic fluid in to crank case. Any idea what caused it and how to fix it? Tractor was still running fine bat pressure shoved the fluid out of every
place engine was not sealed tight.

The hydraulic pump seal failed. It is either a Thompson Or Pesco pump One has an Oring, the other a lip seal. If the shaft is grooved, it will need a speedy sleeve from NAPA or other to repair the groove. The Oring type can't use a speedy sleeve unles the end housing is machined with a deeper groove and tiny bit larger bore. to accomodate the sleeve. Jim

Looked at the online parts site this morning. Replacement shaft seal is number 385038R91 for the thompson and the pesco pump.

Just took it apart. The nut backed off the drive gear. The pump inside has 2 orings and one lip seal that runs on shaft. and it is all dry rotted broke apart. shaft does have a grove in it and nut and keeper washer are bad.
