the steering bracket bearing on shaft is worn out it is the one over the engine part#361 747 R21 where should i look to find new one does caseih dealers still carry parts for these old tractors

Unless the center support is destroyed, oversize the hole and press a bronze bushing in. Or, you can weld another steel piece to the bracket that is bored to size. Build up the shaft and turn it down to spec.

As AG says, that is the way to fix it.Yes CNH does still carry a lot of parts for those old tractors. The way to find out is to ASK THEM.

I should add that there is a bushing in the 300 bracket from the factory--pn. 361749R2. I'm assuming the shaft has worn the bracket beyond the bushing if you say it is "worn out" and you're looking for the complete support assembly.

I made my bushing on a lathe, but you can by sized bushings or ream-to-fit bushings out of various materials from places like MSC, McMaster Carr, and maybe Enco and Grainger, too. If the hole is wallowed out past the factory bushing, oversize the hole in the bracket and use/make a bushing with a larger OD. Or, remove the old piece the bushing sets in from the bracket and weld a new fabbed piece with stock dimensions and use the stock CIH bushing (if still available).
