Farmall A oil leak

I'm working on a 44 A that now runs great however has a nasty leak coming from the governor cover. It's the one that has the connections for the throttle rod and the rod that then runs to the carb. I took it off, cleaned it up, put a new gasket and gasket sealer on it. It now seems to be leaking as bad or worse than it was before?! It is not leaking out of the shafts where they enter for the throttle rod and carb. Is there anything else I should be looking at? I'm a green guy but have really enjoyed working on this little thing but sick of having a puddle under it! Thanks in advance for any help.

By chance is the bumper spring and adjuster removed? Beyond that perhaps a bend timing cover at the underside of the governor housing or a bolt missing.
